Olympus PEN - TERRIBLE PRODUCT

Olympus PEN

Between the second half of 2009 to the end of 2010 I studied a lot of digital cameras reviews trying to find a good digital camera; not so big and clumsy, but with astonishing performance in low light. The answer came with the Olympus E-PL1 and I bought one of these in december 2010 at a shop in Orlando. The camera worked fine in the following five days in Orlando and for fifteen days at Spain in march 2011. One year later I went to Italy and, after about one week, the image became dark and the camera became unable to focus. Three months ago I sent the camera to the local Olympus authorized repair shop. They told me the lens must be replaced. What? A camera manufacturer can´t fix the problem? I will be forced to pay 450 US dollars for a new M. ZUIKO 14-42 mm lens just because they don´t know how to fix and/or what part to replace?
Good, good, good!!! I paid more than five hundred US dollars on a camera and it worked for fifteen months. The manufacturer is not responsible... OK I am screwed!
I went to germany with just one camera because of my unlucky Olympus and, once there, also my CANON SX 210IS showed problems with the zoom, so... I was forced to buy a new camera. I got a simple FUJI. I love CANON's menu and performance but I will never buy anything from CANON, OLYMPUS or SAMSUNG again! Of course, if they develop something really interesting I may try, but not now. I hate these three brands and they will never see even a single dollar from me again.
What do I do now? Sell the Olympus with the second and unused 70-150 mm lens I have or... I take the risk of buying a second hand M. ZUIKO 14-42 mm here to continue using my E-PL1? The pictures from Olympus are wonderful, but I don't trust in the camera and the brand anymore.
My first Olympus lost its USB capabilities after one week, it was 2002 and that camera was a refurbished one; but now... things got really ugly!
Impossible not to remember an old song title from Fleetwood Mac: "that's enough for me!".
Still interested in Olympus cameras? If you live in USA, Europe, Japan or Corea... no problem. They are not so expensive, but here in Brazil... a waste of time and money.

I never studied english, but I suspect nobody will have problems to understand what I'm trying to say.
